Biochar research explores nutrient recovery and circular resources

A Karlstad University project will investigate biochar pellets made from pyrolysed sewage sludge and test them as soil improvers and slow-release fertilizers. These are research objectives, not demonstrated commercial outcomes. The project differs from bamboo-based biochar, but raises relevant questions about contaminants, application testing and nutrient recovery.
